  I had a TERRIBLE experience with Servpro of Walton County. I have a mold issue in my rental unit and the mold assessor I hired mentioned a couple of companies to call to move forward with the mold remediation. Servpro was one of the companies that was mentioned so I called the Servpro branch that handles Walton county to schedule an estimate. I asked the woman I spoke to if there was a fee for the estimate and she replied there was not. She asked that I email my mold report which I did and they said someone would contact me but no one did. I had to follow up with a phone call to them a few days later. I was told they had to contact the estimator and would call me back. They called back a few hours later and I was told the estimator could go to my property within a few hours of that phone call. The problem was with such little notice, I could not get out of work during the tiny window they offered (& they were not flexible with me on that). I was told they would call me back to reschedule for later that week. Again, they did not call. I had to continue calling. By my fifth phone call and speaking to yet another new person to in 2 and a half weeks who could not help me schedule an appointment, my patience ran thin. At this point, I was suddenly told by the manager (who did not introduce herself as such) that the estimate would now cost $250. When I explained how I felt from this experience, there was no attempt to rectify or better the situation. This whole experience with this company was absolutely ridiculous and left a terrible taste in my mouth. I don't feel they work to earn the business they get. It's my belief that they are busy by the sheer fact that there aren't enough companies to service all the issues so they are busy and you can see they don't have to try hard to get clients. No one seemed to have any answers or the ability to help me schedule a simple estimate. Their follow through, communication or knowledge of their business structure was terrible. When I am going to pay out of pocket in excess of $10,000, I would like to work with a company that instills trust and confidence in me that the product I'm paying for will be done to the highest standards and done well. It would also be nice that they value the money I'm about to spend with them. I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT FEEL CONFIDENT IN THEM AS A BUSINESS OR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE. Between my family and I, we own 6 homes that we either live in or rent and I can assure you, I WILL NOT NOW OR EVER USE THEM FOR ANYTHING. If you are considering ServPro, I encourage you to do your due diligence. Research and speak to other companies in the area before using them. You deserve better.
